The Recreational Program is geared towards providing a fun, competitive, and safe soccer environment for kids. All kids are welcome and Cecil Soccer League (CSL) strives to make it a positive experience for the players and their families. The program consists of 8 game season at Chesland Soccer Complex.

Registration Dates and Prices

Update: Registration will remain open until divisions fill. Minimal spots remain!

U3-U17:

  • Early Bird Registration: (June 6 - June 30): $99
  • Regular Registration: (July 1 - July 31): $109
  • Late Registration: (August 1 - August 23): $124

Important Dates to Remember

  • Games begin: September 12th, 2026
  • Season Ends: November 7th, 2026
  • Columbus Day Weekend - October 10th

Please note:  8 game season is weather permitting.  Cecil FC will make every effort to reschedule games cancelled due to inclement weather but make up games are not guaranteed.

Divisions

  • U3/4 Division – August 1 2022 and younger
  • U5/6 Division – July 31 2022 – August 1 2020
  • U7/8 Division – July 31 2020 – August 1 2018 (1st / 2nd grade)
  • U9/10 Division – July 31 2018 – August 1 2016 (3rd / 4th Grade)
  • U11/12 Division – July 31 2016 - August 1 2014 (5th / 6th Grade)
  • U13/14 Division – July 31 2014 – August 1 2012 (7th / 8th Grade)
  • High School Division – July 31 2012 and older

Coaching a Team

All coaches are volunteers and are often a parent of a player within the program. CSL asks that you consider fulfilling this need a rewarding opportunity to support the community and have fun! You will need to complete a few online courses to coach as per the guidelines of CSL. You will receive a coach's information packet that will go into all the specifics near the end of the registration.

Head Coaches will receive a 100% reimbursement for your child's registration! This will only extend to one child per coach. The reimbursement will be applied once the season concludes.

Each coach must do the following:

  1. Complete a TeamSnap registration form (below)
  2. Complete a GotSport registration form (received in your TeamSnap confirmation email)
  3. Complete your coaching requirements in GotSport
    1. Background Check
    2. Concussion Course (CDC)
    3. SafeSport Training

*Coaching requirements are valid for one year (restarts every year on July 1st)

Uniforms

Uniforms are ordered through Soccer.com. You are responsible for ordering and retrieving your uniform. Please read the details below carefully for ordering.

U4/U6 players will receive team specific tee shirts and do not need to order separately. Uniforms will be distributed prior to the first game for this age group.

U8 and older players will use separate Adidas Red and White jerseys.  Red/White reversible jerseys from prior seasons are allowed.

For U8 and older, jerseys are ordered through Soccer.com. Players/parents are responsible for ordering jerseys.

*IMPORTANT: Do not wait until the last week to order your uniforms! Expect, at the very least, a 2-week turnaround time. Plan your order to arrive before the first game.

Practices

U4 and U6 will have NO weekly practices. Only weekend games.

U8+ will have weekly practices. Depending on your coach's decision, U10 and above may have two weekly practices. Attending both practices is NOT required in this case.
